umami burger in san francisco’s marina district is a great place to go if you’re looking for a nice juicy burger that’s not overcooked. i came here for lunch and by the time 1230 rolled around, the place was packed! we ordered the smushed potatoes, umami burger and the special burger of the day. i can’t exactly remember everything that was on the special but i know it had their house ground beef, bacon with an egg on top, lettuce and umami ketchup. the umami burger comes with shiitake mushroom, caramelized onions, roasted tomato, parmesan crisp, umami ketchup. from the pictures, you can see the yolk from the egg and juices from the burger oozing out! their burgers are truly juicy and not overcooked. so not overcooked that i almost sent mine back since i am not used to it being that raw. but i didn’t and it tasted great! i can’t wait to go back and try out some other menu items! if you’re ever in the neighborhood, drop in and check them out! they also have locations in the LA area!
